Matt has nearly two decades of practice as a Cayman Islands lawyer. He is widely regarded as one of the most knowledgeable transactional lawyers in the region, with a wealth of expertise in a range of areas that are critical to the Cayman Islands and global investment and financial services industry.

Matt’s digital assets experience includes establishing one of the first DAO corporate structures in 2018 using a Cayman Islands foundation company, complex legal and regulatory analysis around all aspects of web3 projects, and forming and launching large-scale digital asset investment funds and managers. He regularly advises new projects on structuring options, and assists projects with existing structures on their regulatory position, restructuring and growth strategies.

Matt is active in the space and regularly speaks on and moderates panels in the Cayman Islands and internationally, including moderating the tokenisation panel at CoinAlts 2023.
